Description
ALLOY-59
A stainless steel alloy is a nickel, chromium, and molybdenum alloy that exhibits excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. Although the alloy exhibits excellent resistance to both oxidising and reducing media, its resistance to chloride pitting and stress corrosion cracking is significantly superior. This alloy is widely used in even the most extreme environments. Flue gas scrubber components, bleach plant and digester components for the pulp and paper industry, sour gas handling equipment, sulfuric acid coolers, waste incinerators, and seawater equipment are just a few examples of the many uses for this material.
This alloy is manufactured and has a chromium content of 23.00 percent.
Compared to C276 and Alloy 22, Alloy 59 has a higher concentration of molybdenum. Alloy 59's thermal stability is improved as a result of the substitution of tungsten in alloys C276, 22, and 686. Exceptional resistance to a wide range of corrosive media in both oxidising and reducing environments. Pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking are both resistant to this substance.
