Description
C62400
Aluminum bronze contains approximately 6% nickel and iron. The remainder of the alloy is 9 to 12 percent aluminum. It is golden in colour. There is a copper alloy called UNS C62400 that has good corrosion resistance and strength, and it can be heat-treated to change or improve its properties, like strength. 50 is the machinability rating for the copper alloy UNS C62400, which is made of copper and other metals.
Welding the UNS C62400 copper alloy can be done with brazing, gas-shielded arc welds, spot welding, butt welding, seam welds, and coated metal arc welds. Soldering and welding with oxyacetylene aren't the best ways to work with this metal. At temperatures of between 760 and 885 °C (1400 and 1625 °F), the copper alloy UNS C62400 can be forged. An alloy made of copper called UNS C62400 has a hot forgingability rating of 80. UNS C62400 is an aluminium bronze alloy that is used in pump and valve parts for industrial process streams, high-strength bolts, marine equipment, pole line hardware, and other parts.
