An alloy made with cobalt called Ultimate® is resistant to galling, cavitation erosion, erosion of sludge and liquid droplet impact. It's a unique alloy. It's a great welding material because it has a lot of ductility and is very resistant to welding cracks. It is a one-of-a-kind alloy that combines the abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance properties of Stello alloy with those of Hastelloy alloy to produce a material that is unlike any other.
If you want to use Ultimet, you can make forgings with it. The most common uses are solid wire consumables and coatings made with arc welding processes like MIG and GTAW (TIG). Ultimet alloys can be used to make forging products, such as solid wire consumables and welding coatings, made with arc welding processes like GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG).
