HASTALLOY- C-22
As the name suggests, alloy C22 is an austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy that can be used in a wide range of applications. It is resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. The high chromium content makes it resistant to oxidising media. The high molybdenum and tungsten content make it resistant to reducing media, as well.
This nickel steel alloy is also very resistant to oxidising aqueous media, like wet chlorine, nitric acid, or oxidising acids with chlorine ions. It can also stand up to oxidising acid chlorides, sea water that's been mixed with other chemicals, as well as a lot of other mixed or contaminated chemical solutions that are both organic and inorganic.
