Description
Inconel - 750
The alloy offers excellent strength and creep rupture qualities at temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 1300 °F, as well as excellent corrosion resistance and weldability, as well as resistance to cracking. Nickel Alloy 718 exhibits excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion at the temperatures and atmospheres encountered in jet engine and gas turbine operations, respectively. It is also resistant to corrosion when exposed to acids, seawater, sour oil and/or gas.
INCONEL® alloy X-750 (UNS N07750/W. Nr. 2.4669), a nickel-chromium alloy with precipitation hardenability, is used for corrosion and oxidation resistance, as well as high strength at temperatures up to 1300 °F.Despite the fact that most of the precipitation hardening effect is lost when the temperature is raised above 1300°F, heat-treated material retains useful strength at temperatures up to 1800°F. Cryogenic temperatures are not the only conditions in which Alloy X-750 performs well.
