Description
Inconel - 601
Nickel-chromium-iron alloy Inconel 601, also known as Inconel 601, is a general-purpose engineering material that is resistant to heat and corrosion. High-temperature oxidation resistance is one of the most notable characteristics of Inconel 601. In addition, the alloy exhibits excellent resistance to aqueous corrosion, possesses high mechanical strength, and can be produced, machined, and welded with relative ease.
Table 1 shows the chemical composition of Inconel 601, which is its maximum permissible composition. composition: A face-centered cubic solid solution with an extremely high degree of metallurgical stability is used in this composition. The nickel base of the alloy, in conjunction with a high chromium component, gives resistance to a wide range of corrosive media and high-temperature conditions, among other things. The presence of aluminium contributes to an even greater level of oxidation resistance.
